2019 Company News

Ziyang Factory Continued Expansion

In 2019, the Ziyang Meihele Toys Factory built a 1,300-square-meter production facility in the town's Phase III resettlement community, and established 3 village-level poverty-alleviation workshops (totaling nearly 9,000 square meters) and 11 family workshops across Maliu, Gaotan, and Wamiao towns, employing 254 workers (109 from low-income families), with monthly output value exceeding 20 million RMB.

Company Standardized Incorporation & Ziyang Project Launch

On January 26, 2018, Ankang Meihele Toys Co., Ltd. was officially registered and established, with registered capital of 5 million RMB and legal representative Jin Wei. In the same year, the company obtained general VAT taxpayer qualification.

In June 2018, the company was introduced as an investment project from Yangzhou, Jiangsu to Maoba Town, Ziyang County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. On November 1, 2018, Ziyang Meihele Toys officially commenced production, becoming a Jiangsu-Shaanxi poverty alleviation cooperation project.

The company started as a small plush toy processing workshop and gradually established standardized production lines.

In 2025, the China Yangzhou Plush Toy Carnival opened, with the unveiling of the Yangzhou Plush Toy "IP & AI" Dual R&D Transformation Center and the establishment of a 200 million RMB Yangzhou Plush Toy Industry Fund. The annual output value of Yangzhou's plush toy industry exceeded 30 billion RMB in 2025, accounting for over 50% of the national market share and nearly 20% of the global market. As a key player in this industrial cluster, Meihele Toys continues to seize industry upgrade opportunities.

Jiangsu County-Level Industry Survey Visits Hanjiang

In 2024, Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, together with the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, launched the "Jiangsu County-Level Characteristic Advantage Industry Survey" series. The third episode visited Hanjiang District, Yangzhou. The report highlighted that Hanjiang District has introduced measures for the transformation and development of the plush toy industry, promoting upgrades toward IP-oriented, brand-oriented, intelligent, and cultural-creative directions, including smart cutting, automated sewing, small-batch fast-response flexible production lines, and digital transformation projects.

In June 2022, Yangzhou Daily reported on the Yangzhou plush toy industry's proactive response to the pandemic through "enterprise self-rescue + government relief." Hanjiang District, Yangzhou, has over 1,800 plush toy-related enterprises, with the entire industry's annual transaction value exceeding 8 billion RMB in 2021, reflecting the resilience of the entire Yangzhou plush toy industrial belt under pressure.
